Save Waveny Park

THE DEVELOPMENT CRISIS

A proposal exists to build 150 apartments on Waveny Park’s Parcel E. As our town's crown jewel, Waveny’s 50-acre Parcel E is vital open space dedicated to all New Canaan residents. While senior housing is a community priority, it should not be built here.
Waveny LifeCare Network intends to lease 50 acres of parkland for a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC). This plan would eliminate open space, destroy natural habitats, and convert public land into private residential housing.

We must act now to ensure our shared park remains protected for future generations.

  • Converts a public asset into a private one for profit

  • Eliminates 50 acres of parkland without replacement

  • Violates the 1967 easements from the Lapham Lloyd family

  • Offers no provision for affordable housing solutions

  • Email Town Council
